Students of Royal Wootton Academy sparkled and dazzled in a performance of stage classic Bugsy Malone.

The academy, part of the Ascend Learning Trust Royal Wootton Bassett Academy welcomed primary schools for an afternoon of the grand slams and rib-tickling whipped cream gun fights for which the show, which began life as an Alan Parker musical in 1976, is best known.
The performing arts team worked tirelessly in order to get the show out to family and friends for a three-night only spectacular showcase including a live orchestra.
Reactions from performers and audience members included:
''Bugsy was a great experience and we all made lots of extra friends'' – Chloe.
''A treat to watch and fun to perform'' – Archie.
''Bugsy was a real fun time and comedic too'' – Mia.
Head of Drama Zoe Markham-Lee said: “Shows of this size take an incredible amount of dedication and commitment from both staff and students.
"It is overwhelming to see it all pull together and the students shining on stage in their roles.
"From the dancers, musicians, backstage crew to the lead roles, the show wouldn’t be possible without them all and I want to say a massive thank you.”
