The Rotary Club of Swindon North & Thamesdown is promoting a Charity Swimathon.

Entrants can raise funds for a club, charity or organisation of their choice at the Swimathon on 23 June.

Swimmers of any age simply need to start organising a team and getting each team member to ask their family and friends to sponsor them.

Participants can enter and collect sponsorship online by visiting the Swimathon page on the website: #rotaryclub

A spokesperson for the event said: “Entry forms, sponsorship forms, tips on maximising sponsorship, it’s all there. Entries can be submitted by post or online and there is no entry fee. Sponsorship can be organised online too.”

As well as raising funds for the entrants' favourite charities, the Swimathon 2024 is also in aid of the Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group. For 40 years SDSG has been working hard to help those with Down’s to have the same opportunities as everyone else in and around Swindon.

The spokesperson said: “ Last year the Swimathon 2023 raised £8,910 for local charities. We are aiming to beat that figure this year.”
