Care home's award-winning team

Staff at Ridgeway Rise Care Home in Blunsdon St Andrew have been officially recognised for their skill and compassion.

Providing the very best in person-centred care in a warm and homely environment is what the team at Ridgeway Rise Care Home pride themselves in offering.

Over the last couple of months several members of their team have been recognised for their contribution within the sector, resulting in four of them having been named winners in the Regional Great British Care Awards.

Colin Weaver was named Activity Coordinator of the Year, Cristian Panaitiu Care Assessor of the Year, Annable Elrick Unpaid Carer and Laurentiu Branisteanu Chef of the Year.  

The team then went onto the national finals of the Great British Care Awards, in which Colin came second amid a strong field and was highly commended.

The team were also recognised in their company awards where Cristian Panaitiu was named Nurse of the Year, Laurentiu Branisteanu Chef of the Year, the home itself Care Home of the Year and Tayla Smith for Carer of the Year, which she won overall, beating tough competition from over 3,000 care assistants.
