Royal Wootton Bassett occupational health and safety business Safewell Ltd has announced another opportunity for free training in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillator use.

It will be offered to local people during the morning of Tuesday 21 May.

Following the success of their previous free training sessions in 2023 and early 2024, Safewell has responded to community requests by organising an additional date.

The idea for the training initiative came about after Safewell installed an outdoor defibrillator cabinet at Templars Way Industrial Estate, where the business is based. The company’s mission is to equip as many local residents as possible with the skills and confidence in responding effectively in the event of a cardiac arrest.

Managing director Nick Evans said: “The enthusiasm of our local community for learning first aid skills has been fantastic.

"We’re pleased to be continuing with the free training, with the aim of enabling even more individuals to gain access to vital life-saving skills.”

Training is for adults and is delivered by a qualified and experienced instructor. Spaces are limited, and those interested in attending are asked to email [email protected] or call 01793 852951.
