To start the New Year with a bang, Swindon Recital Series are proud to present, in the afternoon, two classic children’s stories to entertain and enchant all ages and, in the evening, a leading exponent of the accordion.

The children’s classics are Howard Blake’s The Snowman and Poulenc’s L’Histoire de Babar, le petit éléphant.  Erik Burnett-Godfree, well-known in the town, will be narrating these endearing stories (in English!) accompanied by Paul Turner, noted local pianist and Founder of SRS.

In the evening Swindon Recital Series welcome one of Classic FM’s ‘Rising Stars’ Ryan Corbett who will play classical compositions by Bach, Franck and Rachmaninov as well as original works for the classical accordion.  His exotic and captivating sound will stay with you for a long time…

These concerts are supported by the Friends of SRS.

Standard tickets are £18, Senior Citizens £15, students (aged 15-18) £3.50 and accompanied children aged 14 years and under admitted free.  Tickets are available on the door – they accept cash, card or cheques!
