Free Education Community Workshops at Swindon Libraries, hosted by Explore Learning

Explore Learning a network of tuition centres across the UK, have teamed up with libraries throughout Swindon to bring you the Narnia Workshop on Tuesday 14 February.

Step through the wardrobe and come along to this exciting literacy workshop. Delve into the world of Narnia while exploring fantasy and reality, along with figurative and expressive language.

The Narnia workshops are available at the following libraries:

Highworth Library - 9am to 10am
Park Library - 10:30am to 11:30am
Central Library - 12pm to 1pm
Wroughton Library - 2pm to 3pm

This workshop is for children aged 7 to 11. Workshops are free but spaces are limited. Please book with a Library member of staff or by calling 01793 614 641.

Free Education Community Workshops at Explore Learning, Swindon

Explore Learning, a network of tuition centres across the UK, provides English and maths tuition for children aged 5 to 14, with courses tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Your local Swindon Centre has organised a series of workshops for the February half term holidays, which will be beneficial in providing stimulating learning during the break. The Community Day Workshops will take place on Thursday 16 February. These workshops are a great opportunity to visit the your local centre, enjoy some interactive workshops and meet new friends!

Gruffalo
10:30am -11:30am
Get set to meet the terrifying gruffalo in this fun-filled workshop designed to develop literacy skills through rhyme and description. For ages 5-6

Times Tables
12:00pm - 1:00pm
We’ll look at the 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 times tables in this times tables workshop. You’ll be better than a calculator in no time For ages 6-8

Dr Who
1:30pm - 2:30pm
Join the Doctor as he explores new galaxies; learn about descriptive words, and show-off your creative writing skills in this awesome adventure! For ages 8-11

Problem Solving
3:00pm - 4:00pm
This workshop will have you applying your number skills and practising your team work. Remember to think outside of the box. For ages 10+

Olympics
4:30pm to 5:30pm
Get ready for LONDON 2012 with this exciting literacy workshop! Design your own event, practise your sports reporter skills and take place in the spelling relay!  For ages 8-10
