A powerful new book gives women guidance on dancing to their own tune

10th February 2012 by Roger Ogle

This is a more than a self-development book for hard-working women, it is a catalyst for changing and balancing the way we work and live.

Using the metaphor of the ‘handbag’ and the ‘dance’, coach, public speaker and Brit Writers’ Award winning author Lynne Copp, who lives near Marlborough, helps you to dance your best life.

The Dance is a metaphor for what you do each day; dance to the tunes of others. The multiple roles of mother, wife, boss, friend, daughter, colleague etc. means that you are so busy dancing to the tunes of others that you have little time to dance to your own dreams, aspirations and potential; your own music.

Lynne Copp is Managing Director of The Worklife Company, an organisation that she formed 14 years ago after leaving a senior role in HP, where she was Head of Marketing Communication.

She is a Leader with extensive experience in business coaching and culture change across a wide range of organisations and industries. She is passionate about achieving business success by releasing potential of people through effective leadership communication, culture and inclusion.

Lynne has worked with companies like Google, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Government and Public Sector. She is an internationally recognised expert in worklife balance, wellbeing and diversity; an inspiring speaker and coach who not only creates motivation for change, but also delivers solutions relevant to today’s business, people and customer environments.

Entitled Lipstick Leadership, she has released a report detailing her research into excellence in female leadership.

Lynne is retained as a coach for a number of companies, and is an active member of The Association of NLP, the International Coaching Federation and a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a member of the UK College of Personal Development.
