Chiseldon Girls
a team to be reckoned with

Football coach Ian Povey from Grange Park received a commendation award for his contribution to girls and ladies football at the end of March 1999, in the Wiltshire Coach of the Year Award.

As coach of Chiseldon Women's FC, or the Chissy Chicks, he with his wife Sue, has developed the club from a single girls team in 1996 to one fielding five teams: from ages 10 to 16 playing in the Oxford girls 7 a side league, to a womens team playing 11 a side in the South West Ladies League.

On 26 April Sue and Ian were presented with the Club of the Year certificate in the FA regional womens football award.
