In the 1970s or early 80s, I can't really remember, I lived with my aunt and uncle in Naunton Road and O use to hang around with a girl called Dot. My uncle used to called her Dot Dash Period. Does anyone remember her, or myself. I would love to hear from anyone who used to hang around Sussex Square in those days.

I used to attend Pinehurst Secondary Modern School from 1961-1966 and I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me.
My family lived at Wavell Road and I moved away from Swindon in 1967 and lost contact. Is there anyone by chance that was in class 4b in 1965-66, and has old school photos. A couple of names that I remember from school are June Hicks, Heather Robinson and recall a boy called Peter Quince.
My first job on leaving school was with Morses catalogue warehouse in Rodbourne and I worked with a girl called Gillian Naunton. If there is anyone who remembers it would be nice to catch up.
Looking for Walcot Friends

I awoke this morning wondering about some of my old school friends from Swindon and of the bizarre things we got up to at such an early age (9 or 10)- ie: selling raffle tickets door to door, then buying cakes etc with the proceeds.
It was Barbara Tomkin's idea if my memory serves correctly, I'm sure she must be an entreprenuer today.
My name is Sylvia Foster (nee Brown) and attended Lanesmead primary. I lived at 34 Somerville Road, Walcot, we often played at Sussex Square, I loved the library. We moved away for a couple of years then returned, I attended Walcot Secondary (1969-70). My parents managed the Bulldog Off-Licence before sailing off to Australia in 1971 where I am today.
Some of the names I remember from school and surroundings: Lucy Adler, Tina Hunt, Susan Sturgeon, Helen Smith, Barbara Tomkins, Michelle Dingley,(another) Sylvia Brown, Leroy Hogan, Nigel Causton.
If you are out there and would like to email, please do, I would love to hear from any of you.

I was at the British Rail apprentice school from 1963-64, coming up from Cardiff every Monday to Friday. If there is anybody that remembers me or those days when we were young and fairly innocent, drop me a line and say hello.

Swindon Walcot Secondary Modern School

Are there any survivors out there of the great Swindon Walcot Secondary Modern School Education Disaster of the late 50s, early 60s? I was one of the first pupils at Wal. Sec. Mod. School when it opened, asks Paul Tate...then known as Paul Reisin.
The first headmaster was Mr. Brazier. I used to dig his garden for him on Upham Road to make pocket money not knowing he was to be my future headmaster. I was in Form 3c, our form master was Mr. Kitchen, an extremely bizarre character. For maths we had Mr. Healy and for art Mr. Harris.
Amongst my fellow pupils were...Moureen Kench, Raymond 'Midge' Dennis, Geofrey Harrison, Billy Barns, David Stratton, Patricia and Moureen Symes, Alan and David Stevens, Fred Bully, Philip Frost, David Hartley, Tony Russell and many more. I lived in Buckland Close, Park North and now live in Berlin, Germany.
I often think of those days and wonder if there is anyone else who would like to share reminiscences.
