Swindon Archive News Think Floyd bring Toys in the Attic concert to Swindon on 1st February
Think Floyd are now in their Eighth year of presenting this extraordinary tribute to Pink Floyd - they have managed to faithfully re-create the atmosphere, visual magnitude, and musical genius of one of the world's most legendary rock phenomena. This year's show is the band's most ambitious and exciting to date. Due to its overwhelming popularity with audiences throughout the UK, the first half of the show still encompasses a virtually complete performance of the music from Pink Floyd's classic album The Wall. The band will be joined by local youth and theatre groups who form not only the chorus to The Wall but also play an extensive part in the overall show providing a great opportunity fro them to experience the professional concert environment. The Wall is perhaps one of the most intriguing and imaginative albums in the history of music. Recorded in 1979 and made into a film in 1982, the album creates a mystical and disturbing adventure into the depths of one man's psyche. The second half is a well chosen montage of other classic Floyd tracks to delight every fan including pieces from - Wish you were Here, Dark Side of the Moon and The Division Bell. For tickets call the Wyvern Theatre box office on 01793 524481. www.thinkfloyd.co.uk |
