Police want help over indecent assault on Number 1 bus

Swindon Police would like to speak to the male captured on CCTV in connection with an allegation of indecent assault.

A 14 year old girl boarded the Thamesdown Transport Number 1 bus about 4pm on Friday 25th July, from the stop in Fleming Way and sat at the rear of the bus. A male boarded the bus at the same stop and also went to sit at the back where he engaged the young girl in conversation before indecently assaulting her.

The alleged suspect is described as an Asian male, short black hair, 18 to 23 years old, 5' 7" tall, wearing spectacles, bright red baggy trousers, light coloured V neck top and jacket.

The young girl recalls talking to two female passengers sat in front of her who got off the bus prior to the assault and a male passenger sitting in front. The police are asking for these three witnesses to come forward and also any other passengers on the Number 1 Bus which left the Fleming Way stop at 4pm for its final destination to Ramleaze in West Swindon.
