09/05/2008

Wiltshire’s Compost Ambassadors have won a national award at the 2008 Master Composters Conference, held at Garden Organic Ryton on Saturday 19th April.

TV’s organic gardener and author Bob Flowerdew presented Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s waste minimisation officer Camilla Timms with the award.

The prize was awarded ahead of International Compost Awareness Week which starts on Sunday 4th May, and runs to 10th May, for the group’s sterling achievement in reducing the amount of waste that’s sent to landfill.

Camilla and the team will be on hand to give practical advice on composting and recycling at the Whitehall Garden Centre, Lacock, Chippenham, on Sunday 10th May, from 10am-2pm.
