People looking to combine a walk with a sweet treat on Easter Sunday are invited to Lydiard Park.

he Great Lydiard Park Easter Sunday trail takes place on Sunday, 23 March, from noon until 4pm. Everyone is welcome to enjoy a walk at this beautiful historic parkland and children will be able to pick up a chocolate treat along the way.
People participating can pick up a trail guide at the Coach House and Stable buildings, close by Lydiard House, then head out into the park to find the clues and claim a chocolate prize. The cost to take part is £1 per child.
Children and accompanying adults can enjoy the fun of seeking out clues hidden along the paths of avenues of this historic parkland, as they follow a trail round the 18th Century restored Walled Garden, the woodland glades, ice house, lakes, castellated dam wall, Palladian house and church. There is also a children's playground packed with swinging and climbing equipment offering active fun for children of all ages.
Councillor Nick Martin, Chair of the Lydiard Park Management Board says: "Lydiard Park is the perfect place to enjoy some fresh air this Easter Sunday. The trail
offers families the chance to enjoy the beauty of this unique and historic place with the added fun of finding clues and the bonus of a chocolate prize."
The Great Lydiard Park Easter Sunday Trail is an outdoor activity through the parkland. The State Rooms of Lydiard House and the restored 18th Century Walled Garden are also open throughout the Easter weekend from 11am to 4pm. Normal admission charges apply.
