A Swindon man has been given a lengthy driving ban after he was caught drink driving.

Jack Moran, 34, of Ringwood Close, Swindon, pleaded guilty to drink driving, using a vehicle without insurance and without a valid licence when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court on April 24.
On April 7, Roads Policing officers were on patrol in Princes Street in Swindon when they had cause to stop a grey BMW X3.
Moran, who was the driver, had no driving licence and officers felt the vehicle smelt strongly of liquor.
Moran failed a roadside breath test and was arrested and later charged. The BMW was seized.
When Moran appeared at court this week, he was given a 40 month driving disqualification, ordered to pay CPS costs of £85, a £114 surcharge and must carry out 70 hours of unpaid work.
Roads Policing Sgt Will Ayres said: "Moran was not displaying L plates and was not supervised at the time we stopped his vehicle - he had no licence and was over the drink drive limit. He put himself, and other road users and pedestrians at risk. We will not tolerate this behaviour and will continue to target those road users who fail to abide by the law."
