Swindon Borough Council has announced that, after several months of rigorous
evaluation and negotiation with bidding teams from three different
companies, it has selected the consortium led by Equion plc as its
'Preferred Bidder' to design, build, finance and operate seven new schools
in North Swindon.

discussion with Swindon Borough Council to build a new 23,000 all seater
stadium costing £20 million on the old Shaw tip in West Swindon came out of
the blue. Residents are both surprised and shocked by the proposal and
