windon Remembered is a fascinating new video looking back through the twentieth century, released just in time for Christmas. Written and researched by the Swindon Society, and produced by Video by Design, the 55 minute film draws upon the Society's extensive collection of photographic images. It incorporates interviews with local characters, archive film and modern day footage of the town. Topics covered include views of the early market town, Swindon's industry, canals, railway, the health service, education, sport and leisure, the war years, housing, shops and shopping.
