Six times national swimming champion and Olympic hopeful Sarah Collings was on hand on 6 April to launch the millennium area youth games for Swindon, Wiltshire and Dorset.

Taking place on Sunday 25 June, young people aged 11 to 16 of all abilities will take part in athletics, hockey, netball, tag rugby, swimming, tennis, basketball and football.

Sponsored by BAA and organised in partnership with Sport England, the events will involve children at schools, clubs, sports centre and recreation sites across Swindon. The winners of the games will go on to the national finals to be held between 17 and 20 August in Southampton.
