A big fund raising event in aid of the Prospect Hospice will encourage all participants to seek out a healthier lifestyle.

Taking place on Saturday 29 April between 10am and 5pm at the Crofts Sports Centre in Old Town, the day will have three main components:

A sponsored ramble on the Ridgeway: a 6 or 10 mile walk from Croft onto the Ridgeway and back

An organic farmers market offering healthy produce

Exhibition, demonstrations and participation with complimentary health

practitioners including massage, reflexology, shiatsu, feng shui, reiki and chinese medicine.

The cost is £2 and 50p for children. The entry to the ramble is £2.50 and participants will be asked to raise sponsorship.

The money raised will go towards the £1.8 million annual running costs of the Prospect Hospice.

Ann Wilkins, head of fundraising at Prospect said the Living Well Experience will be a fun event with something for everyone to take part in. "The day will emphasise healthy living and celebrating life in aid of the Prospect Hospice."
