New games mag now on sale

A budding Swindon journalist has just published the second edition of a magazine aimed at computer gamers.

Andrew Mehta, 18, from Ramleaze, Swindon has been producing fanzines for several years and selling them to other game addicts. Now he has teamed up with Ben Evans from Freshbrook and four other contributors based in Bristol and Hereford to produce United Games, a 46 page black and white magazine which reviews games from the users point of view.

The latest edition contains an article on the Korean games industry and takes a look at the Pokemon phenomena.

There is also a look at the much awaited Play Station III, just released in Japan, and reviews of latest games for Dreamcast, Playstation, Nintendo 64 and PCs. The hand held Neo-Geo is given the once over as well.

The first edition of United Games sold out quickly and the feedback was that it offered good value for money. If you're a gamer, send a cheque for £1.50 to United Games, PO Box 61 Swindon SN5 9GR

Andrew has hopes of taking a journalism or media studies degree. But first he has to concentrate on revising for A' levels at Swindon College. A third edition of United Games is planned after his exams are out of the way.
