Wanborough Scarecrow Trail returns for 2024

Wanborough Parish Council are once again holding their popular Scarecrow Trail.

It will run from Saturday 27 April until Sunday 12 May, and this years theme is 'Fairytales and Fables'.

People are invited to follow the trail of over 35 scarecrows around the village. 

The trail will be raising money for charities Wanborough Primary School PTA and Brighter Futures, the Great Western Hospital charty. Trail sheets are £3, children's activity sheets are £1.50 and both can be purchased from The Brewers Arms, The Harrow and The Plough Inn. 

Refreshments, toilets and trail sheets will be avaliable at Wanborough Village Hall, at the start of the trail and also at Wanborough Primary School which is the halfway point, every Saturday, Sunday and on the Bank Holiday Monday, between 10am to 4pm. 

Trail prizes include:

1st Prize: £150 Amazon voucher

2nd Prize: £100 Amazon Voucher

3rd Prize: £50 Marks & Spencer Voucher

Children's Activity Sheet Prize: £50 Smyths Toy Voucher

The trail route follows the usual route of High Street, Chapel Lane, The Beanlands, Springlines, Kite Hill, Magdalen Road and Avenell Road.
