Crapper & Sons LTD is one of a long line of family businesses going back 300 hundred years. Perhaps the most famous was Thomas Crapper & CO Sanitary Engineers by appointment to HM King Edward VII who installed more dignified WCs in Sandringham House, Westminster Abbey and other stately buildings. Thomas perfected the modern water closet.

Equally flushed with pride is the business recently moved into Express Works, Stratton St Margaret, Swindon, it was founded in a small quarry in Oxfordshire some 30 years ago when it excavated and delivered Cotswold Stone. It then progressed to Civil Engineering specialising in airfield work at nearby RAF Brize Norton. This lead to contracts with the Ministry of Defense and local authorities for road works and demolition in the Oxford and Swindon areas.

The company is still managed by the original founders, Roger, Richard, Lawrence and Howard Crapper, assisted by members of the family.
