The Richard Jefferies Museum has announced a walk called Jefferies Land Rediscovered.

It will take place on Saturday 18 May, and participants will be guided on a roughly  six-mile (10km) route from Coate Water to Chiseldon, and returning via Hodson Bottom.
The landscape covered helped to inspire some of the greatest works of Victorian nature writer Jefferies but also fellow Swindonian and 'Hammerman Poet' Alfred Williams.
The free guided walk is expected to take about five-and-a-half hours and includes some field-walking and muddy or uneven ground, although walkers, should they prefer, can do a shorter linear version and leave the walk at Chiseldon, returning to Swindon via bus.
There will be parking at Coate Water or its field overflow, and none available within museum grounds, and public toilet facilities will be available in the car park and at Chiseldon.
Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome, and participants are advised to wear suitable clothing for the weather and appropriate footwear, and to carry some water.
