Labour gain Old Town and Central and hold Gorse Hill & Pinehurst

The latest results of the borough council elections include three wins for Labour and the party gaining Old Town.

The Old Town results are:
MILNER-BARRY, Jane Elizabeth, Labour, 1,873 votes
SOLOMON, Bazil Stanley, Conservative, 586
HUGHES, Bill, Green Party, 181
WILTSHIRE, Martin George, Liberal Democrat, 157
BOWIE, Daisy, Trade Union and Socialist Coalition, 44

Turnout: 35.13%

Labour has also gained Central in a significant swing, and the results are:
DIAS, Domingos Seby, Labour, 2,117
FERNANDES, Lourenco Sipriano, Conservative, 838
FERNANDES, Vintur, 718
SARNOWSKI, Marek, 195
QUATE, Mary, Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition, 124

Turnout: 39.64%

Labour has held Gorse Hill and Pinehurst and the results are:
FERNANDES, Princia Jenovi, Labour, 1,652
ADEKOYA, Niyi, Conservative, 586
BENTLEY, Andy, Green Party, 290
TAYLOR, Gerry, Liberal Democrat, 133
HARRIS, Helen, Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition, 48

Turnout: 28.91 percent
