A team from Swindon's Metro Bank are supporting Prospect Hospice with a fundraising effort.
The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause.
Metro Bank colleagues from the Operations Team recently volunteered for Prospect Hospice’s 16th Annual Starlight Walk.
For over 40 years Prospect Hospice has provided palliative and end-of-life care to patients and their families living across Northeast Wiltshire.
The Starlight Walk is one of the charity's annual flagship events, symbolising hope and solidarity within the community, and will take place on Saturday 29 June. It is a cherished event which brings together individuals, families and community members to raise funds and awareness for hospice care.
The Metro Bank team, comprising Bec Stone, Grace Leigh, Tristan Muldowney, Sammi Hawkins, and Emma O'Sullivan, dedicated their time to help spread the word about the Starlight Walk. The volunteers spent a day distributing leaflets to raise awareness about this significant event and vital services provided by Prospect Hospice.
Metro Bank Operations Manager Marco Farropo said: "We believe in the power of coming together for important causes.
“We see the incredible work that Prospect Hospice does in supporting individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses and we’re honoured to play a part in raising awareness for this vital charity.”
